!st swimming Lesson

Last Sunday is the kid's first swimming class. They are very happy and kept on asking us alot of question. I am glad that we went ahead to sign them up for this. No regrets !

Next Saturday, dad will come over to stay with us. We have packed the place, to be exact is the children's room. I hope we can stay together peacefully .

1. Joel came back with a Musican badge. He has what it take to be a musican. This badge was given out to a student for all level eg. P1 ~ P6. I am so proud of him . He really surprise me.

2. We have met his teacher on Wednesday to collect his report book. His Teacher said that he is too compassionate. Girls from different class came to tell her that Joel hug and said I Love you.

Weiwen is on reservists again!! Its really very tiring with this 'helper" . However I really thank God for my mother in law. She has been great help. She came to stay with us when Weiwen is on night shift so that she will accompany me to fetch the children to school together.

Our relationship have improved , since we moved to our new place. I guess its because we meet more often nowadays.

This morning , Ms Esther broke a news to me. Ms Lelah who is Bernice form teacher past away yesterday . I was very shocked.

Ms Lelah, 35 years old. 10 weeks into her 1st trimester.

Life is really very fragile . I heard alot of stories like this past 1 week. It really make me changed my attitude towards life. I have to constant remind myself that everyday is a bonus and treasured every moments i have with my love ones.

We had a great time last weekend. The kids had prayed hard the previous day for good weather . Indeed God is GREAT . The children were not disappointed . They had a great time !!

I feel bad that I did not celebrate father's day for weiwen . I really think that I should make up to him. He is a good father. He has made sacrifices for us.

He has washed less of his car and spent more with us. He has stopped watching WWF for the sake of his children because the show is too violent . He has learnt to sleep in a non-air-conditioned room . He has made an effort to speak good English.

There is something which I am very touched and I really thank God for him. Joel has one of his undesirably triads, that is always wanting to go and pass motion, especially during meals . Whenever we are having our dinner , especially when we eat out. He will always volunteered to always bring the children to toilet . He knows that I dislike going to public toilet therefore , will never asked me . I am trying to changed. Hoping that he could eat in peace .

Hmm... I am sad when Miss Shanahs told me that Joel is not speaking good English . Joel has been telling me that he does not want to talk. I was a bit amiss . Now it came to my knowledge that even his friends are correcting him. Joel is a very sensitive and emotional person. All I could help was to encouraged him to accept other peoples' correction. I really hope that he will think positively and be strong and teachable.

Being a parents is not easy. Being a parent of this century was even harder ! Every night I will pray that God will give me wisdom to teach his children and love them as how HE had love us.

Fish Bone !

Just now Joel had a fish bone stuck in his throat. Both of us are panic and helpless ! We really don't know what to do . Joel was crying in pain and I can see the bones stuck bridging at the throat.

I tried to use my fingers to pick but I was too scared. So Daddy ran to the kitchen to washed his hands , thinking to try his luck. When both of us returned, guess what ? Joel was sitting there playing with the touchlight !! We are shocked and ask him to open his mouth. Shocked again.. the bone is GONE !!!
Praise God and thank HIM !!

I am currently reading a book recommended by Gladys. The title is called : Raise Your Child Right By : Dr Daniel Fung & Dr Cai YiMing.
The context of the book is very Asian. Therefore is things that Asian parents would face and I find it very useful sometimes.
Joel saw me reading this book. Following is our conversations :

Joel : Mummy , what book are you reading ?
Joey : I am reading this book , which teach mummy how to take care of you and Bernice. Especially when both of you are naughty.

30mins to an hour later , Bernice was up to her some monkey behaviour, I was angry and was about to beat her leg. Joel stopped me .

Joel : Mummy don't beat Bernice.
Joey : (Surprised !!) Huhh... why ???

This is the 1st time that we visit this place. We went there in the morning for morning breakfast at MacDonald. Wow . . . it is very crowded !! Well thank God, we managed to find a seat within 15 mintues and settle down for our favorite Big Mac and hotcakes . The children were excited when they saw a big playground. Well I also enjoyed the playground too , especially the flying fox. The playground is bigger than the one at pasir ris !!

By Gods' grace we have moved . . . .. smoothly !!!We are still unpacking and organising the mess !! However we have taken 'off' yesterday to celebrate Joel's 5th birthday. He was excited!! At his age now, he knows what "privileges" a birthday boy has. . . This year he had a more than "fruitful" birthday... He was spoilt with presents . .. Transformer !! He had received, an Automus Prime from Yi Po, Bumber Bee from daddy and mummy and many more presents from the 7 fairy God's mother !!

Today morning it was raining , weiwen and I rushed out to the living room to closed the windows. Without knowing the floor is already wet, weiwen ran and fall . His head was terribly hurt. Tension headache came and go. I was very worried, and called his brother to fetch him to A&E to have a head scan. As his brother stays far from us, I approached Calyn for help. Without much thoughts, she came and fetch him. It was a long wait at home. Full of anxiety and worries. Thank God , the scan result was normal. However these 2 days he still needs to observed for any unusual signs. From this incident, I realised that it is really very good to have families and friends around to help. Therefore though I felt lost moving to a place which I am unfamiliar with, but I know that Weiwen family is nearer to us for any emergency .

A good sister of mine sent me this today and I really likes it very much.

No matter what kind of adversities we encounter, fret not, because God always has an answer that lies behind the picture which we don’t have the ability to foresee.

The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. What is the thing which will make a mother happy ? Other than good health ... nothing more matters as much. This week, the kids appetite really surprised me. Joel and Bernice finishes a full plate of macaroni on Monday. Today Joel tells me he likes omelette . Joel don't likes eggs, so when he tells me the omelette is nice... I was so surprised !!

Signnn.n.... another epoisde of virus attack this week.

Monday, Bernice had an eye infection. So 1 down. Later in the afternoon , the school called to say that Joel was running a fever. So 2 down. At night, Bernice was crying away waiting for me to 'sayang' her. While I was there , I heard Joel breadthing was quite loud so I walked over and touch him. He was quite hot. After measuring the temperature, he was 39.2. Weiwen immediately asked me to give him Brufen. Joels' teeth was clentching when we tried to feed him. We managed to get him eat the medicine althiught he was unconciouse. Weiwen carry him to the living room and found that he was still clutching his teeth and was not responsding to us. We realised that he might have fits. We immediately made arrangement for bernice before we rushed to KKH. Meanwhile in the car we tried to talked to him and make him awake. When we reached there, the nurse access him and told us that he had a post fit. He directed us to Door 11 immediately to let the doctor to assess him. The doctor when through his whole history and did an very detailed assessment on him. She assured us that this is a Febrile Fits not the nuero fits ( which is more serious type) . Thank God ... I was so scared and almost to tears .

Both Weiwen and I had took alternate leave to take care of him. Bernice was also at home so that she can rest more . It was a hectic day at home to look after these 2 monkeys. They are always fighting !!!

Bernice Fever Day

Bernice is down with fever again!!! So It started on Tuesday. The fever is very high , and seldom comes down to 37 degree. This situation is very familiar. Her last fever is also like that. Weiwen and I had to take leave on alternate days to take care of her.

Last night we decided to bring her to KKH for scanning and blood test. We suspected that she had lung infection again.

We hate going to KKH . The queue is one of the most hateful experience. Ah Yi, helped to cooked dinner for us and take care of Joel while we sent Bernice to KKH. When reached there , we had to take the temperature due to N1H1. We are surprised by the crowd. It was not packed and the queue was super fast. In and out we finished everything within an hour !! It is indeed amazing. Well doctor diagnosed her with lung infection and she was given a course of antibiotics.
Ah Yi suggested to me to boiled a an egg and rolled the egg( with the shell removed) on Bernice. According to her, in olden days people says that it removed the internal heat in the body.. I decided to try...

I am hanging the clothes at the corridorr. This girl immediately carry her cooking ingredients and ustensil out to cook a nice meal for me !

Indeed we had enjoyed the trip. To me I like this place because the distance is shorter than Malacca. Weiwen enjoyed the trip, but he prefers Malacca . er.r.r.r.. Kids... they don't bother...ha.a.a..aa.. the pictures says a thousands of words.

Today I took time off from work and decided to bring Joel and Bernice to visit a Chinese doctor. Bernice started to cough and have phlegm again. She was last diagnosed with the lungs infection, just 3 weeks ago. So I decided to consult a Chinese doctor instead of putting her on a few course of antibiotics . I hope that I have done the right thing.

This Chinese doctor was highly recommended by Joel's' classmate , Chevelle mummy. Indeed when i was at her shop, I saw so many newspaper cuttings about her. When i met her, the children was not afraid of her at all. I was surprised !! She started off with some examination of their eyes, and face .. then follow by 'tui na' and some back 'kua sha'. The children enjoyed it .

Teacher called Weiwen in the late afternoon today. Know what !! Teachers reported that Joel had dropped a toy into the toilet bowl and upon seeing teacher approaching , he immediately picked up the toys from the toilet bowl with his BARE HANDS argh h.h.h.h...h.h.h..... so er xin !!!!!

Teacher immediately washed his hand 2times . . 3 times . . . 4 timessss. . . .. . and also not forgetting to disinfect his hands !!!

Signn.n.n... Why this boy so silly... the most is to get some scolding for accidentally dropping the toys into the toilet bowl.

In the evening while walking home, I purposely asked him what he did in school today. He told me what he did from morning till evening. He refuses to tell me what had happen until I promise him not to laugh at him !!

Wow .. . . our valuation is out!! The price is better than what we expect. At least now we can proceed further. Thank God for the blessing despite the current HDB prices which is going lower and lower..

Fever

Bernice had fever for a week after Good Friday Holiday. Her fever never went down from 38 degrees. I was really very worried. Weiwen and I had took alternate leave to take care of her. She really slim down. Her fever was so high that she keeps telling me that her eyes are painful . I can see tears rolling down . It really pains my heart. We brought her twice to KKH . And finally got the root caused of her high fever. She had a lung infection.

Joel was a good boy during this whole week. Very cooperative and prayerful. Something that really touches my heart is he even prayed in school for Bernice. He told me this went we are walking home from school. Last week , I asked him what does he wants to write in his dairy this week. Guess what ?? He said : I want to write about Jesus. When I asked him why, he said Jesus bring down Bernice fever !! I am really very glad to hear that.

During Sunday we have went to the Marina Barrage. The kids enjoyed and like the place very much . Joel like it so much that after he came home, he asked from me some papers. He wanted to draw Marina Barrage, so that he can always remember it.

Good Friday

Today is Good Friday. We had planned a fruitful day for the kids. Early in the morning we had breakfast home before we set off to Hay Dairies Farm (www.haydairies.com.sg) with our neighbour, Doreen's' family. The children are excited !!

When we are there, the place was already packed . Thank God we managed to get to see the milking of the goat. To our disappointment, due to advise from AVA, feeding and close contact with the goats is not allowed. This to to prevent the transmission of diseases from human to animals and vice verse. Therefore we are unable to go into the barn to feed the goat. Zachery was really upset that we started crying.

After that, Doreen brought some chocolate goat milks' for them to drink. Joel and Bernice was a bit resistant initially, but managed to finished the bottle.

The last place of visit was at the D'Kranji Farm Resort http://www.dkranji.com.sg/index.html . We did not managed to explore the place. It was very very hot at the time of visit. So we left the place after using the toilet.

By the time we reached home was 2pm already. The kids was very tired. We slept all the way from 3pm to 6pm. After dinner , we decided to go finishing at the canal besides our flat. There is no caught , so we decided call it a day and enjoy the cooling evening walk to fishing pond instead . One the way there, Weiwen caught sight of another stretch of the pond beaming with fishes, he wanted to try his luck . Guess what ??? Within 30 minutes, he had caught 5 fishes !!! The kids was excited , and they wanted to keep the fish.

Joel Cake Project Showcase

Today I really look forward to Joel's' cake project showcase. I have seen the class very into this project. Some of the days, Joel would come home with a few slices of cake. He will always tell us that he had made this cake. This shows that they are preparing themselves towards today.

I am the 1st parent to be there. The 1st reaction of the teachers and principals are . . ' Joel , this time your mummy is here !!' I felt so embarrassed, remembering how I have forgotten about his last project showcase - Water. Joel was so happy , running to me and hugged me. This really made me very guilty about the last incident , but at the same time happy that I made it this time and Joel is so happy to see me here.

The classroom was turned into a cafe with a few tables (covered with tablecloth) and chairs. The individual classrooms were turned into 3 different stores selling, pizza, banana cake, butter cake , chocolate cake and not forgetting a drink stalls and the cashier.

I can see all the students are very happy and excited about the roles that they are playing.There are waiter, stall holder, cashier and beverage girl . Joel and his guys friends roles are waiter. They are suppose to show the customer (the parents) the menu for the day and takes the order. Each cakes cost 20 cents.

Joel enjoyed the role play. After the event, we went to another classroom which displayed their hard work . The children has made many cake models , ingredients and the equipment to bake cake. All the models which they have created are very impressive and real . They made 4 tier wedding cake, cupcakes, oven , a tray of eggs, a packet of flour and many more cakes.

1 surprise for today . Ms Song, who is Joel favourite and form teacher informed me that today is her last day. I was so sad to hear this. She knew it. She was into her tears when i tell her that Joel will definitely missed her. She is really a very good teacher. She has encourage Joel into speaking and writing Chinese . Indeed Joel has progressed a lot under her influence. I wished her all the best for her future undertakings.

Very tired all these while . No time and energy to blog anything.

Monday we received an invitation card from Joel. He made an invitation card and invited us to attend his project presentation this coming Friday. His project was about cake . I think he is going to bake a cake for us. Weiwen and I had planned to take half day off to attend his event and we are really looking forward to it.

Last year he also had a project presentation on Water . Then , weiwen and I had forgotten about this. We felt very guilty. So this year we are surely going to make it for him.

Another 4 days is Mummy death anniversary. Till today I still wish that she is here everyday with me. Many people tells me that it is good for her to go. Yes I agreed with the fact that she is suffering and fighting the battle. But I cannot help to say that I wish she could stay longer. I even wanted to scold GOD for taking her away. Am I still angry with God ?

This is the 2nd week coping with Joels' school homework. I still think that it is a bit too much for a N2 children. I am wondering how a primary 1 mother thinks of this. Maybe they would feel that what I am facing now is just only a small fraction of what they are dealing with . Ya , primary 1 student really have more stress. From the way I heard Gladys and Agnes shared about their children school ECA and etc .. really made me scared !!
I better treasure the happiness, freedom and the time I have with my 2 kids now.

Joel and Bernice school celebrate Christmas too. They invited the parents to come earlier to have some games before the start of the programs. Joel and Bernice enjoyed 2 games most. The 1st game is the blowing of ping pong ball from bowl A to bowl B. The 2nd game is the musical chair.
The Christmas party program consist of games follow by a short Christmas play by the children and lastly the magic show. The highlights is the lucky draw. Surprisingly , we got the 1st prize !! It was a set of 48 colors crayon.

We celebrated our Christmas at Ah Yi house. She had prepared a big turkey. It was delicious. She have bake and toasted it herself. She is really very good in this area. Another condiments which i like was her homemade sambal chilli prawn paste. That was the best which i ever ate.
It was really a enjoyable night with all the good food. The kids enjoyed themselves too.

Today we celebrated our 6th anniversary!!! Its a new start for the family. We started our day at the Geylang Methodist Church. It was a good and refreshing one.

Wow, last sat we went to Changi Airport with Gladys to take some photos. Changi Airport really have some nice Christmas decor .

Recently I went to a Japanese restaurant and ate one of these . It really makes me wonder how did they manage to hard boil the egg but yet it was still soft inside. Bernice Injured Herself Again

Today during pickup time, I saw a cut on her face near the mouth... I was really very upset this time. The teacher told me that Bernice and her friend is after a same color pencil and her friend accidental cut her face with the color pencil which she is holding on.

I was not upset with Bernice . But i am upset with the management this time. Till today from last month till now, today is already the 3rd case . I know she is stubborn and mischievous at times, but maybe all these incidents could be avoid if the teacher would spent more time looking after the children. I have wrote to the teacher on the communication book about the unhappiness and i hope that they can look into this seriously.

The worst accident has left a scar on her right wrist. I hope that this time , this cut will not leave a scar on her face.

Today , for the 1st time, the children sleep until 9.30am. Daddy was the happiest of all, cos he was sleeping together with them.

How about mummy ?? I woke up at 8am and started to do the household chores. Seeing that the sun shine so brightly, wow... i was excited!!! I can bring them for a swim and moreover i can start washing the clothes !!!

Busy Month

This month is very busy both at work and home.

work ...colleague was on holiday and at the same time some system migration ... so veri busy..

At home the kids are ok. Bernice as usual very naughty . Joel was obedient.

Last saturday we made cookies together, so excited that i forget to took some photos for remembrance.

This coming weekend , i think we will make some again.

This morning Joel and Bernice was very cute. They were sitting at the sofa eating the biscuits and think they are in good mood. Because when i ask them to post for me , they even made funny faces. Today they were in party wear as the school celebrates Devepali .

Today is 1st Oct, Children's' Day. Many ..many years back we also celebrated !! Now is our children celebrating.

Well, we wake up very early as usual. However today we are going to the Zoo. We are meeting Gladys and Jeff Family. Joel was excited about it , because he is going to see many animals and also meeting his cousins... clement and Nathan( his usual playmates).

Wow.. the Zoo was already packed with people when we are there at 8.30am. The Queue for ticket is like a snake. Luckily , we got co-operate card to bypass the queue.

The Kids enjoyed very much , especially when seeing their favourite animals (lion, zebra and giraffe). They also enjoyed themselves very much at the playground !!!

Principal Annie has brought all the N2 student Caterpillars !!! She wanted the children see the lifecyle of the caterpillars. Joel was excited!! This is his 2nd time that participant in this Caterpillar Life Cycle.

Growing Pain Agian ????

We juts came back from KKH. Another tiring day. Today Joel keeps complaining that his right knee is painful again. Then at the later part of the afternoon , he is limping again. At the afternoon nap, he wake up crying saying that his knee is painful. This time we cannot ignore him , thinking that he is seeking our attention.
The doc on duty says that he is as still very normal despite the pain... climbing and happily playing with Bernice, so she gave us an appointment to follow up an orthopaedic .
Hope that is another episodes of growing pains and nothing serious..

Yesterday is Joels' birthday . He is 4 Yrs old. Time really Flies. Teacher Song told us the today he is the 1st one to wake up from his nap and the 1st things he told his teacher is 'Today is my Birthday !!!

Well , We did not managed to get his favourite McQueen Car Cake. In stead we brought another car racing car for him from Angie the Cake. Well He likes it too. Uncle HuangKuang and Uncle David gave Joel a racing car.

At night, we celebrated with 奶奶. We managed to find a small McQueen Car Cake. He was overjoyed to see that.

奶奶, very funny . Because she mistakenly brought those sparkler rekinder candles for his cake and Joel was so agitated that he could blow off the candles.

Healthy Lifestyle

Recently , I have seriously look into my problem. . constant 'floating' in the air sensation. I cannot take it anymore and under some pressure of my colleagues, i heeded their advice to see the panel doctor.

Indeed , I really thank God for taking away my sturboness and assume that this sensation was because my period is round the corner therefore causing me to feel giddy.
After seeing the doc, she saw the trend of me having quite high , high blood pressure. She advice lead a less stressful and healthy lifestyle . I need to see her in 1 week time to review the seriousness before she take me on a course of pills !!!

Weiwen is very worried, he starts making plans how he can help me release my stressful lifestyle. Our main problem is children. Every morning we are rushing... rushing to send the kids to school and always rushing home to cook or fetch the kids. We hope that nanny Cindy but she wants us to fetch the kids home latest by 6.30pm. .. We are still considering..

When it comes to punish Bernice, we will usually ask Bernice stand on her yellow mat, until she learnt her lesson. Yesterday, while i was putting on clothes for Joel after his bath, Bernice shouted to her.. 'Mummy stand here... ' Her left hand points to the yellow mat which i always punish her... I was really taken by surprise !!! I was thinking should i laugh or be angry. Before i could react, she shouted at me again...

This time daddy grab a cane, which and came after her. She immediately grab the yellow mat and ran off....

This is really very funny. Bernice is really so difficult to handle compare to Joel.. Really hope that this is just a passing phase.

Bernice , the Naughty 2

Bernice is in the naughty 2 mood nowadays...3 complains once in a week.

1) She snatch her friends toys... and was bitten by her friend and leaving a teeth mark on her hand

2) Went to see doctor cos she is having flu. At the same time wanted Dr Sim to check if she has any ulcer in her mouth. After checking Dr Sim says nothing. Then i looked at her and said " Bernice naughty girl"... Know what, she stares at Doc Sim and said sternly... "Unlce ...Naughty"... Aiyo.... Weiwen and I was really caught by surprise...

3) Friday , her teacher said she had pinch her friends' cheek!!!!! Not just 1 friend but 3 Friends!! No only that, all the 3 friends are from K1, who are 2 years her junior !!!

奶奶 came over to stay over the weekend. The children are happy and Joel ask me not to sleep with him so that he can sleep with 奶奶.

Kids really know who is their talisman when times of "trouble". When they have did something wrong, they will run to 奶奶 immediately. I am lenient to them since they seldom have chance to do that.

Joel is into his 4th lesson on abacus . In fact he shows great interest in this . His attitude is very different from the piano class which we had arranged for him earlier. He was always asking me when is the next lesson .

Today is very rush.. especially without weiwens' help.

By the time I reached Pasir Ris , it started to rain heavily.. Shit !!! The first thing i did was to call the center to inform them that i will be late.

I went home to collect their raincoat. When i reached the center, on seeing the raincoat Joel and Bernice was overjoyed !!

Day3 of HFM

Today is a good day. Not sure why but everyone mood is good. Maybe is because today is FRIDAY!!! 1 more day to weekend where Weiwen can help to share the tiredness.

Joel and Bernice is good today also. They are very co-operative. Although there would still some quarrels here and there. Bernice drank more today. She drank 210ml of milk in the morning, 1 glass of honey before , 60ml of chocolate milk before nap , 1 cup of watermelon after afternoon nap, 180ml of chocolate milk before bedtime. Basically her meals for the day were all liquid. But surprisingly, she pass solid motion in the afternoon !!!

Today is also a fruitful day for them. In the morning, they watch Bear and played computer. Before lunch , they played bicycle along the corridor , after nap they played Thomson the Train and in the evening before dinner, they played bicycle again.

Day2 of HFM

Phew.. .. end of another day. Today is even more tiring , metal and physical challenge for me. I have to deal with Bernice and Joel at the same time.

Bernice did not eat and drink much today. In the morning , she drink some milk and ate some of the leftover cheesecake . In the afternoon she eats nothing!! In the evening she drink some strawberry milk . That's all for the whole day .

I really hope that today is the end of the full blown of the HFM. She had ulcers in her mouth. It was BIG. Its sizes is something like her toes... Just now she want to eat some pandan cake, she took some but hesitated . The moments she puts into her mouth , she cries. It really made me very heart ache. You can see that she is hungry and yet she dare not to eat because of the pain.

Hope that things will get better tomorrow. I hope that Joel will not get the HFM although people tells me that the chances are very slim since they had the contact everyday.

Our house is being sterilized everyday. Now i come to like the smell of deltor ... ha.a.a.a.a...

Day1 of HFM

Last night we spotted some red spots on Bernice's stomach and there are also some faint spots on her foot and hands.

Immediately i called up our neighbour , Doreen to help me verify. This is because her 2 children had contracted HFM 1 month ago. However i could not get her . So the next person that i could thought of the Francies s' mum, XuePing . Francies is Joel classmates.

XuePing was a very nice lady . She don't seems to might the trouble to drop by to verify . She came and confirm that that are some symptoms . So the next morning I brought Bernice to see the doctor and as expected, Doc confirmed and informed the MOH.

The moment i reached home, i worked non stop till now.. I started changing all our bed liners , disinfect the furniture and toys with Deitor , Mop the floor etc... of all the most difficult tasks to to made Bernice eat and drink...

I hope that she can recover soon. I hope that Joel is strong enough to defend himself from this HFM. Btw, the school advise us not to bring Joel back to school until Bernice is cleared from HFM. I think what she said is also fair to other parents.

These toys are 'queueing' up to be disinfect by me. I only mananged to clean 1/4 only. I will continue this task tomorrow. . ..

1) 7am - sent Bernice to school

2) Sent mummy to work

3) Sent Joel to KKH for doc review on his leg

4) 9.30am - Sent the car for repair

5) 11am - went to office to collect Bernice present

6) 1215pm - went back to mummy office and had lunch at Amoy food center

7) 130pm - went to century square to collect Bernice's' cake

8) 2pm - reached home and started to do balloon sculpturing

9) 0245pm - * ** * * * THE BIRTHDAY BASH STARTS * * * * **

Yesterday Joel and Bernice school close for holiday . Daddy took leave to take care of the. Weiwen came to fetch me and we went to vivo for dinner after i knock off from office.

Joel and Bernice had so much fun at the water play on the open garden.

Bernice Birthday was next Friday. I intent to buy cupcakes as her birhtday cake. I tried to contact Cupcake Mama to order but she yet to reply me.

In order not to dissapoint myself I decided to make the cupcakes myself. Here is how it looks :

We went to Malacca again. Joel and Bernice was very excited and happy. Especially Joel, he really enjoy travelling.

This time round daddy had a BIG HARVEST !!! He brought 4 polo shirts and 2 pair of working shoes and 2 singlets. ..see what i mean ?

Ha.a.a.. doesn't matter... as long as everyone enjoy themself. Due to the ghost month, the causeway is not jam on sunday night when we return. William suggest that we go again next week. I object to that as too frequent travelling might not be too good for children .

Seen the orthopedic and he said that Joel's' condition might due to the viral infection after Flu. Wow.. this kind of things also have.
Bernice also recover from her fever. Doc Sim said that if she did not recovered by Friday, then she will need to be sent to lab for urine threat infection test.

Growing Pains ???

Sunday when we are back from Malacca, Joel was dragging himself. We are not sure is it because he is tired or simply wanting us to carry him.

The next morning, he could not get off from his bed . What happen ?? We begin to panic and decided to sent him to KKH. We are the 1st patient and was attended to by a very friend doc. This is the 1st time i was attended to be a friendly doc at KKH. After a few question and physical examination, she explained that to eliminated all the Bad possibilities(leukaemia and bone fracture) , she will 1st sent Joel for blood test and a bone scan. After the results , she will view and give us further diagnoses.

The blood test took an hour. That hour was the worst hour that we ever waited. We looked fine in front of Joel, playing and laughing away, but Weiwen and I was very worried . 1 Hr passed and we immediately went to the clinic . Thank God his results was cleared !!! Doctor suspected 'growing pain' - meaning the bones was growing at night and therefore causing them to be painful in the morning. This usually happens to kids 4 years and above. . To be on the safe side, she arrange use to see an orthopedic tomorrow .

Hope that it is really just the growing pains. This morning Joel was fine and was not limping any more.
